4. HISTORY The first CNC Machine where built in the 1940s by prof. John T Parson. CNC Machine Came into Existence after Evolution of Computer around 1980. Modern CNC Machine are Improving further as the Technology is Changing with Variety of function According To Application.

9. OPEN LOOP AND CLOSED LOOP CONTROL CNC In Open Loop System the slide may overshoot or may not reach Desired Position because of inertia, wear and tear and friction, hence Inaccurate Machining. In Closed Loop System The Position sensors are Used to correct slide movement and achieve higher accuracy and Repeatability.

10. HOW CNC WORKS Control by G & M Codes. This are Number Values Co-ordinates. Each Number of Code Assigned to a particular operation. Typed in Manually t o CAD by machine operation. G & M Codes are Automatically generated by the computer software.

11. FEATURE OF CNC MACHINE The tool or job moves automatically. Tools can operate in 1 to 5 axes. Larger Machine Have a Machine Control Unit ( M CU) Movements are control by Motors (Actuator). Feedback is provided by sensors. Tool Magazine are used to change tools automatically.

12. ADVANTAGE OF CNC MACHINE Easier to program. Easy to storage of existing program. Easy to change program. Avoid human errors. CNC machine are safe to operate. Complex geometry is produced as cheaply as simple ones. Usually generates closer tolerance than manual machine.

13. DISADVANTAGE OF CNC MACHINE Costly setup, skilled orators. Computer programing knowledge required. Maintenance is required. Prise high. Having very skilled worker.
