2. History of CNN Cable News Network (CNN) was founded on June 1, 1980, by Ted Turner and Reese Schonfeld as the world’s first 24-hour television news channel. It was initially met with skepticism , as most networks at the time focused on traditional, scheduled newscasts. However, CNN revolutionized the news industry by providing continuous coverage of major global events.  

3. How CNN Became Famous   CNN’s reputation grew significantly due to its live coverage of major global events, including: Gulf War (1991) – CNN was the only news channel broadcasting live from Baghdad when the US launched its first airstrikes. This earned it credibility and a global audience.   9 /11 Attacks (2001) – CNN was one of the first to report on the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center , with live coverage that shaped public understanding. Presidential Elections & Political Debates – CNN has hosted key debates and provided real-time election coverage, making it a leader in political journalism.   COVID-19 Pandemic (2020-2022) – CNN provided extensive updates, expert interviews, and real-time data during the crisis.
