3. When you combine sentences , you join two sentences that are about the same topic. You make them into one sentence . And you can make a different shapes of combining sentences. Lets learn them together.

4. Compound Sentences A compound sentence combines two complete sentences with a comma and a conjunction. Complete Sentence Comma Complete Sentence Conjunction James went to a ball game , and then he went home.

5. Coordinating Conjunctions Sentence and but or , sentence . We can use a conjunction to combine two sentences into a compound sentence. I went to sleep at 8:00 pm last night , but I still feel sleepy .

6. Combining Sentences with the Same Subject We can combine two sentences that have the same subject. Jen got blue paint. Jen painted the sky. Example: Jen got blue paint and painted the sky.
