4. What is Communication? Communication pertains to the manner by which individuals express and share themselves to others through the imparting of ideas, thoughts, information, feelings, experiences, and opinions.

Nature of Communication Transactional view = message is sent by speaker and received by the listener/audience (example: speaker in a seminar) Expressive or ritual view = when the primary purpose is the sharing of ideas, beliefs and feelings (example: meetings) Dynamic view = the responses people get depend on the impact of imparted message (example: class advisor to students)
