Communication Cues When you communicate with others, there are times when the message sent or receive will easily understand or mis understand the concept or meaning.

Types of Meaning Madrunio , et.al. (2011, p.30 citing Flowerdew and Miller in 2005) cite the different types of meaning based on the distinctive signals that indicate how the words used and sentences formed differ in meaning.

Types of Meaning Knowledge of those signals may help you minimize possible miscommunication in speaker messages.

Phenomenological meanings The signals of this type of meaning are distinctive sounds that are put together to form a meaningful item

Sematic meanings The distinctive signal lies not in the sound itself, because there are some words that have the same sound, but have different spellings and Meanings (Homonyms)
