3. AKSHAYA TRUST Akshaya Trust is a free old age home that provides comfortable living conditions, nutritious meals, and medical care to over 250 destitute elders. Founded by Mr. G. Gopalan in 2001, the trust has grown to successfully operate five branches across different parts of Chennai. The Valasaravakkam branch of Akshaya Trust is home to more than 25 elders.

4. VISION : To create a compassionate environment that enhances the quality of life for elderly by offereing meaningful companionship , assistance, and care. Through our efforts , we aim to foster a sense of belonging and dignity among the elderly, making their lives more fulfilling and joyful. MISSION: The mission of Community Connect is to foster strong, inclusive communities by bridging gaps between individuals and groups. It aims to empower people through collaboration, support, and shared resources, ensuring that everyone has access to opportunities and the sense of belonging necessary to thrive. By encouraging active participation and meaningful connections, Community Connect strives to build a more compassionate and cohesive society.

5. Objective of Community Connect The objective of Community Connect is to build and strengthen ties within the community by fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and mutual support. 11. Work Progress We folded clothes, painted walls, gates, and furniture, and added notes to their whiteboards. We organized their monthly rations, cleaned and tidied their almirahs, and assisted them in relocating. We sorted their medicines, shared stories from our lives, and eagerly listened to tales from their youth. We also engaged them in lively games, creating moments of joy and connection.
