3. About the project Waste management is the process of collecting, transporting, processing, recycling, and disposing of waste materials. Effective waste management is essential for maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment. Waste management is crucial for three reasons : First, managing waste properly helps to protect the environment by reducing pollution and preserving natural resources.

4. About the project Second, it helps to safeguard public health and safety by preventing the spread of disease and reducing the risk of accidents. Third, efficient waste management can help to conserve energy and resources by promoting recycling and reducing the need for new raw materials. Finally, proper waste management can also create jobs and contribute to a stronger economy. Overall, effective waste management is essential for maintaining a safe, healthy, and sustainable world for future generations.

5. PRIORITIZED PROBLEM: Scattered waste that needs to be well segregated in Barangay Calean, Tacurong City STRATEGIC RESPONSE: The proper handling and disposal of waste through segregation. Goals: To reduce the dangerous effects of such waste on the environment and human health. To protect groundwater sources. To ensure sustainability in preserving natural resources.

6. IMPORTANCE OF WASTE MANAGEMENT The first and most important objective of Waste Management is to reduce the amount of waste generated in the first place. This can be achieved through measures such as recycling, composting, and waste reduction initiatives. Another importance of waste management is to improve waste segregation by ensuring that different types of waste are separated at the source and disposed in the appropriate way.

The recyclable waste such as plastic bottles, cans, and etc. will be enhanced and make it as something that will be useful in the community. This will provide a healthier and safer living environment for the people to live in.
