About This Presentation

Class 10th Trees. It was something about the trees. The way they swayed with the wind in unison. The way they shaded the area around them. The sounds of their leaves in the wind and the creaks from the branches as they sway, The trees were making a statement that I just couldn't understand.

Tourist Place of Haryana 1.Kurukshetra= Kurukshetra is a city in the north Indian state of Haryana. It’s known as the setting of the Hindu epic poem the “Mahabharata.” The text’s great battle is depicted in a large diorama at the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre. West of the city, the town of Jyotisar is a pilgrimage site where, according to the “Mahabharata,” the sacred “Bhagavad Gita” scripture was first delivered. Kurukshetra is an important Hindu pilgrimage destination, and there are several pilgrimage sites surrounding the city. The Hindi phrase 48 kos parikrama refers to a roughly 90-km traditional circle (Parikrama) around the holy city (1 kos equals about 3.00 km or 1.91 miles), and a complete parikrama refers to a pilgrimage to all these sites on foot. The International Gita Mahotsav, held every year in Kururukshetra on the Shukla Ekadashi – the 11 th day of the waxing moon of the Margashirsha (Agrahayan) month of the Hindu calendar, celebrates the day Bhagavad Gita was revealed to Arjuna by Krishna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

Tourist Place of Haryana 2.Karna Lake(Karnal) Karna Lake is a major tourist attraction in the Karnal district of Haryana. It is located at a distance of 125 km from both Chandigarh and Delhi, thus serving as a midway halt while traveling between the two cities on the famous Grand Trunk Road. Folklore has it that Karna, a famous character from Indian history, who played a major role in the war of Mahabharat, used to bathe in this lake. It was at this spot that he gave away his protective armor to Indra, the Godfather of Arjuna, Karna’s arch-enemy. It is surmised that the city of Karnal derives its name from Karna-Taal, which translates to Karna Lake. That may also be the reason for Karnal to be called the City of Karna in local parlance.

Tourist Place of Manipur 1.Kangla Fort(Imphal)= The Kangla, officially known as the Kangla Fort, is an old fortified palace at Imphal in the Manipur state of India. It was formerly situated on both sides of the bank of the Imphal River, now remaining only on the western side in ruined conditions. Kangla means “the prominent part of the dry land” in old Meetei.Kangla was the ancient capital of Manipur and a number of Meetei monarchs have ruled the destination from this fort. The existence of this fort dates back to 33 AD, when the mythical God-King of Manipur, Nongda Lairen Pakhangba first ascended the throne.Being one of the most important historic and archaeological site, the Kangla Fort is located in the heart of the capital city of Manipur- Imphal. The Kangla Fort is constructed in such a way and the stories associated with it depicts the rich history and speaks proudly of its culture and traditions. Also, the fort is a symbol of the state’s glory which was improvised and beautified by several successive kings.

Tourist Place of Manipur 2. Bishnupur There are many things to love about Bishnupur, located about 27km away from the main town of Imphal. A quaint town situated at the foothills, it stretches downwards graciously towards the valley. There is a Vishnu temple located at Lamangdong, from which it is believed to have derived its name. A tourist will find plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and exploration here. At Loukoi Pat, you can enjoy boating, or visit Red Hill, the place where British and Japanese soldiers fought against each other during WW2. Enjoy the beauty of Sadu Chiru Waterfall and admire the natural marvel which is Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in India’s northeast.

Thank You
