Scan for malware Sometimes, most commonly via email attachments, malware is able to cross the firewall and end up on our computer. Because new malware is being created every day, we should our anti-malware softwares up-to-date. 3. Back up I know that backing up doesn’t feel like a “security” measure, but ultimately, it can be one of the most powerful ways to recover if you ever encounter a security-related issue.
