“ As we continue this presentation , you will be able to identify different types of computer system unit ”
Like example: We have Monitor, keyboard, Mouse, CPU Hard Drive, and many more as we continue This presentation it will show you there function Images and their names.
So let’s start
Monitor Function A computer monitor is an output device that displays information in pictorial or textual form. A discrete monitor comprises a visual display , support electronics, power supply , housing , electrical connectors , and external user controls.
Keyboard Function A computer K eyboard is an input device used to enter characters and functions into the computer system by pressing buttons, or keys. It is the primary device used to enter text. A keyboard typically contains keys for individual letters, numbers and special characters, as well as keys for specific functions.
RAM (Random access memory) Function: Random access memory (RAM) is the hardware in a computing device that provides temporary storage for the operating system ( OS ), software programs and any other data in current use so they're quickly available to the device's processor . RAM is often referred to as a computer's main memory , as opposed to the processor cache or other memory types. Random access memory is considered part of a computer's primary memory. It is much faster to read from and write to than secondary storage, such as hard disk drives ( HDDs ), solid-state drives ( SSDs ) or optical drives . However, RAM is volatile ; it retains data only as long as the computer is on. If power is lost, so is the data. When the computer is rebooted, the OS and other files must be reloaded into RAM, usually from an HDD or SSD.
Mouse Function: A computer mouse is a handheld hardware input device that controls a cursor in a GUI (graphical user interface) for pointing, moving and selecting text , icons , files , and folders on your computer. In addition to these functions, a mouse can also be used to drag-and-drop objects and give you access to the right-click menu. For desktop computers, the mouse is placed on a flat surface (e.g., mouse pad or desk) in front of your computer. The picture shows a Logitech desktop computer mouse with two primary buttons and a wheel.
CPU (central processing unit) Function The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the primary component of a computer that acts as its “control center.” The CPU, also referred to as the “central” or “main” processor, is a complex set of electronic circuitry that runs the machine’s operating system and apps. The CPU interprets, processes and executes instructions, most often from the hardware and software programs running on the device. The CPU performs arithmetic, logic, and other operations to transform data input into more usable information output. While the CPU must contain at least one processing core, many contain multiple cores. A server with two hexa-core CPUs, for example, will have a total of 12 processors.
Hard Drive Function A hard drive is the hardware component that stores all of your digital content. Your documents, pictures, music, videos, programs, application preferences, and operating system represent digital content stored on a hard drive. Hard drives can be external or internal. Everything stored on a hard drive is measured in terms of its file size. Documents (text) are generally very small whereas pictures are large, music is even larger, and videos are the largest. A hard drive determines the size of digital files in terms of megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB), and terabytes (TB). 1
Mother Board Function The motherboard is essentially responsible for connecting all the different components inside of a computer together. It has connectors for just about every type of component, from RAM to USB ports. By connecting these components together, it allows them to communicate with one another so that your computer can do what you want it to do.
Speaker Function A computer speaker is a piece of output gear that connects to a computer to produce sound, and as a result, we can listen to the sound like an outcome.
Printer Function A printer is a device that prints documents and images onto paper or other materials. It is usually connected to a computer, allowing you to use your word processor, spreadsheets, and other programs to create documents and images that are printed out on the printer.
CPU Fan Function The computer fan works by spinning its blades, which creates airflow inside the computer case. The fan draws in cool air from the surroundings and pushes it over the heat-generating components like the central processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit (GPU).
So this is the end of our presentation. Thank you very much for listening.
