What is Conceptual Framework? 01
A conceptual framework is a representation of the relationship you expect to see between your variables, or the characteristics or properties that you want to study. Conceptual frameworks can be written or visual and are generally developed based on a literature review of existing studies about your topic.
WHEN DO WE USE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK? Conceptual Frameworks are used when you want to give an overview about what your study is all about and it’s direction to where it is heading . Conceptual Frameworks are also used when a researcher is basing the main focus of his/her study on the concepts of the review of literature.
The Role of Conceptual Framework in Quantitative Research 02
Since Conceptual Framework shows the direction, organization, and order of a research study, it is an initial activity or outline of your research because through its representation of schematic diagram, explained verbally as well, it enables the readers to obtain a general understanding of the research. It gives people a notion on the research activities you want to perform, on the manner you want to carry these activities out, and on the knowledge you have to prove or confirm with your research topic or research problem.
In short terms, Conceptual Framework clarifies what you know, and value as central aspects of the study and connect these with various other aspects of influences on your research.

STEPS IN MAKING A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK 04
Step 1: Choose your research question which is exactly based on your title Your research question guides your work by examining and determining exactly what you want to find out, giving your research process a clear focus. Step 2: Select your independent and dependent variables In order to move forward, you must first identify these two variables because these two will be the most vital characters of your conceptual framework.
Step 3: Visualize your cause and effect relationship To demonstrate this, we can use basic design components such as arrows and boxes. Each variables must appear in a box. To indicate relationships of the two variables, arrows must be used pointing from the independent variable to the dependent or the other way around. Step 4: Identify other influencing variables Some common variables to include are moderating, mediating and control variables.
MODERATING VARIABLES Alter the effect that an independent variable has on a dependent variable. MEDIATING VARIABLE Link the independent and dependent variables, allowing relationships between them to be better explained. CONTROL VARIABLES Variables that are held constant so that they don’t interfere with the results.
Examples of Conceptual Framework 05
Overall, conceptual framework is used in a research paper to explain the key concepts and a description of an expected relationship between the variables. It specifies the pertinent variables for your research and shows how they connect to the study. It defines the relevant objectives for your research process and maps out how they come together to draw coherent conclusions.

ENUMERATION 1-4. What are the four characteristics of Conceptual Framework? 5-9. What are the components of Conceptual Framework? 10. Give one influencing variable to be included in a Conceptual Framework? II. TRUE OR FALSE Conceptual Framework clarifies what you know, and value as central aspects of the study and connect these with various other aspects of influences on your research. A conceptual framework is a representation of the relationship you are not expecting to see between your variables, or the characteristics or properties that you want to study. A Conceptual Framework defines the relevant objectives for your research process and maps out how they come together to draw coherent conclusions. A control variable l inks the independent and dependent variables, allowing relationships between them to be better explained. Moderating variables alter the effect that an independent variable has on a dependent variable.
