Control Systems of the Body Nervous system- electrons signalling process Endocrine system- chemical signalling process. Tada drashtuh Swarupe Avasthanam (PYS) The awareness is the point of focus through special senses.
Neuron : transfers electron changes called Action Potential (AP) Dendrites to receive AP, Cell body to process AP, Axon to propel out AP to target region
Nervous system
Special Senses Eyes Nose Tongue Ears Skin
Pratyahara Special Senses must be withdrawn from their sense objects to manifest focus or Dharana. Ex; focus on other sense when pain is more at a particular location. Withdrawal is at peak situations but not in every situation. Ex: Pencil lines on the walls by a child.
Adi or mental disturbances Mental fluctuations in known situations are because of emotions. Ex: Fobia Such thought process is called as “psycho-somatic connection”. If this becomes a habit, it manifest diseases. Ex; Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorders.
Autonomic Nervous system
Triguna or 3 personalities Rajasic Sattvic Tamasic Active personality Balanced personality Inactive personality Rush in work Sees responsibility More lazy than normal Eat fast Eat for health very slow eating Desirous As part of time Avoidance Over excited Turn as per the event Lethargy Addicted Flexible Damaged Greed Non-attached Neglect Uncontrollable attitudes at actual event. Balanced trait. Fails at actual event. Full of expectations and gains Duty sense Hopeless and lack of confidence Diseases - anxiety Diseases – Anadhija Diseases- depression Finds on quick routs Self-will Depends on others and stubborn Likes tasty foods Likes fresh balanced foods Much amount irrespective of health Commanding Moves with event Back steps Ruler Soldier Thief Red White or transparent Black
Somatic Nervous System
Mind to physical body
Limbic System Connection of different parts of subcortex between the cortex and special senses produce a lot strong chemical. these will aid the response or reaction with an emotion. Response can be positive, negative or neutral. Pingala or Ida or Sushumna Aware of behaviour; sattvic, rajasic and tamasic. Other wise diseases.
Hypothalamus or Bindu Chakra Hypothalamus is the connection between nervous system and endocrine system. Neural signals as stress, leads to imbalanced hormonal secretion or lack of homeostasis. This imbalance spreads to master gland called Pituitary gland.
Endocrine System
HomeostasisChakra
Shat Chakra Crown Chakra ( Sahasrara) 6. Third Eye Chakra ( Ajna) 5. Throat Chakra ( Vishuddhi) 4. Heart Chakra ( Anahata) 3. Solar Plexus Chakra ( Manipura) 2. Sacral Chakra ( Svadhishtana) 1. Root Chakra ( Muladhara) Yoga Philosophy & Physiology of Glands Pineal: Melatonin for Sleep-wake patterns Pituitary: Stimulating Hormones for other glands (Master) Thyroid: T3, T4 for Metabolism of all cells Thymus: Thymocin for Immunisation (T-cells) Pancrease: Insuline, Glucagon, Somatostatin for Glucose levels Adrenal: Epinephrin, Nor- Epinephrin for Stress reaction Overy & Testes: Egg & Sperm to creates next human.
Aims of Yoga techniques Mindfulness- to silence the mind Vibrating practices- to relax physical parts Realization- to remove the ignorance Tuning to nature- to practice samadhi
