Addy : What did you think of Avatar? I thought was so awesome! I was completely engulfed in it from start to finish. Best : What did you like about it? I thought it was morally twisted and disturbing on many levels. It was way too long and I almost fell asleep.

Addy : I agree that the dialogue and the story were pretty bad, but the 3D aspect and the cinematography were outstanding. Best : Those aspects were good but I’m not really an artsy kind of guy and I don’t care much about cinematography. I was bored after about 30 minutes.

Addy : Why did you find it morally twisted? Best : I thought the hero’s of the story were essentially fools and they were not the kind of people that society should be looking up to. They were unable to resolve their differences peacefully

It seems to me that this is the kind of thinking that causes America to be questioned on their aggressive pro-war attitude . I wished the movie glorified diplomacy and mutual understanding instead of having it end in a fight to the death.

Engulfed: If you are “engulfed” in a movie or a book it means you are completely focused on it and are not thinking of anything else. Sorry I missed your call, I was engulfed in some article I was reading and I didn’t even hear the phone ring. Twisted: In this context, “ twisted” means something like “wrong and weird” at the same time. Some people like to read about different ways on how to kill themselves. That is pretty twisted.

Disturbing: In this context “disturbing” means more than just simply “bothersome”. It is more like it makes you feel sick because of some problem the world has. I find it very disturbing that there are some people who kidnap young children. On many levels: If something happens “on many levels” it means that there were many different reason why it was the way it was.
