WHY PILATES?
Skjdflkaj
Lkasj’Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. In order to achieve
happiness, it is important to gain mastery of your body.'
~ Joseph Pilates
Pilates is an organic movement based physical conditioning method for
people of all movement levels and is designed to elongate, strengthen and
restore the body to its natural balance.
What are some benefits can you expect from doing Pilates?
Pilates helps to build flexibility and suppleness with the emphasis on posture
and alignment. As the spine supports the body, it comes under huge strain as
hours are spent sitting at an office desk all day. Pilates helps to re-align the
spine and improve posture that provides relief from back pain or even
eliminate it entirely. It increases strength and stamina by concentrating on
the core muscles, in the abdominals and back. Through toning and stretching
these muscles, posture can be corrected and strength and stamina are
naturally improved.
Pilates is great for people looking to strengthen after injury, improve posture,
relieve aches and pains, increase their mobility, strength and flexibility and
as a cross-training method.
Through the Pilates method we will work to harmonise the whole.
