Repairing procedures in operative 1- Luminaire 2- Veneer

Thin layer (2,-4,) which made from specific porcelain Luminaire Compensation 1-Certain porcelain (reinforced feld spar) and plastic material

The difference between Luminere and veneer is that luminere need a little preparation without need of local anesthesia . 1 - Cleaning of teeth surfaces 2- Impression 3- Color selection  4- Send it to lab 5- Clean the teeth and applied the acid etching and bond in teeth surfaces and in lenses it self Procedure

1- Mild discoloration 2- Mild enamel hypoplasia 3- Simple space Indication 1- Very expensive  2- Easy to fracture  3- Easy to discoloration Disadvantage

1- Little or no preparation need so more conservative   2- No need of local anesthesia 3- Simplicity in related to time and method  4- Could be removed without damaging the teeth Advantage

Veneer 1- Veneer composite 2- Veneer porcelain

Veneer composite 1- Direct 2- Indirect

Direct veneer composite  Indication 1- Discoloration 2- Enamel hyperplasia  3- Strong labial erosion Advantage 1-Less time consuming  2-Less expensive 3-Easy fabricated

Disadvantage 1- More staining  2- Less strength  3- Alternative aesthetic Procedure 1- Preparation 2- Acid etching 3- Bonding 4- Composite selection  5- Composite applied and sealing

Before After

Indirect veneer composite  Indication 1- Enamel defect  2- Diastema Advantage 1- Adequate strength

Disadvantage   1- Time consuming  2- Multiple visit is needed  3- More expensive Procedure   1- Enamel preparation 2- Shade selection  3- Silicon impression 3- Fabrication of veneer in cast  4- Cement of veneer in teeth in the next visit

Are thin shells of porcelain (0.4-0.7 mm) designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve appearance Veneer porcelain

Types: - Partial veneer : * direct------------chair side composite resin - Full veneer : * direct------------ chair side composite resin *indirect-----------indirect composite resin, ceramics According to the design: According to the methods: -Partial veneer -Full veneer

Indications: 1. Teeth discolored by tetracycline staining 2. Enamel defects , e.g., enamel hypoplasia ,

3. Lesions caused by erosion and abrasion. 4. Diastema closure. 5. Malpositioned teeth.

6- Wear and abrasion resistance is high. 7- The aesthetics are better than any other veneer material. 8- Porcelain veneer allow transmission of light.

Disadvantage: 1- Expensive 2- Tooth preparation 3- Highley sensitive technique 4- Sensitivity 5- It has number of limitation

Post treatment consideration: * Short term consideration: * Long term maintenance:

Short term consideration:

L ong term maintenance:

Recommendation 1- Ask the patient to improve her or his oral hygiene 2- Ask the patient to follow of post restorative instruction 3- Ask the patient that don't forget recall to ensure that their restorative filling free from any caries
