INTRODUCTION ON POLYNOMIALS Define and Describing polynomials and its different terms

COMPETENCY (MELC) Factors completely different types of polynomials, ( polynomials with common monomial factor, difference of two squares, sum and difference of two cubes, perfect square trinomials, and general trinomials.) M8AL-Ia-b-1

OBJECTIVES Identify the different terms of Polynomials illustrate examples of polynomials Describe each terms related to polynomials Work cheerfully on the given topic. Develop willingness to work the topic

4.1 Introductory Activity WORD SEARCH: The students are going to search words related to polynomials. Please see Appendix 1 5 minutes 4.2 Activity JUMBLE GAME ( GROUP ACTIVITY ): Students will be grouped into 4. They will be given a link using MANYCHAT for the jumbled letters. They are going to form the jumbled letter in order to form the different words with their definition which follows after clicking the NEXT button. Note: For those learners who don't have an load for internet the MANYCHAT can be open with out load it can be open with only data. And for those who does not have cellphone will be given handouts . 10 minutes 4.3 Analysis Define Polynomials What are the different kinds of polynomials and each definition? In our present day how are we going to convert the exponential problems we have right now in to squares of solutions? 5 minutes 4.4 Abstraction Discuss about polynomials and its kinds. And give example on each. 10 minutes

4.5 Application GAME: Same group as the previous activity the teacher will give the link to a game app called KAHOOT on each students email address.Each member can have a turn in the game and the group who has the most correct answers will be considered as the winner. 10 minutes 4.6 Assessment Tests PENCIL and PAPER TEST.The students are going to identify what kinds of polynomials are given. ( See Appendix 1) 10 minutes 4.7 Assignment Preparing for the new lesson Study in advance on Factoring Polynomials 5 minutes 4.8 Concluding Activity Present the GCF song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da_ZhLAtIgI 5 minutes
