Meeting NESS -ISN and NESS-PAK

Guidelines were agreed upon between DSP and
NESS-ISN for NESS Pakistan:
•i) Eco-security concept would be introduced among local community and
public/private support organisations.
• ii) Joint actions would be launched involving multiple stakeholders from
various disciplines to reach the ultimate goals of “An Eco-Security System for
All People (ESSAP)”.
•iii) the Eco-Security System would be split into five Components as follows: i)
Environment Security; ii) Biological Diversity; iii) Food Security; iv) Public
Health Security and; v) Livelihood Security.
•Participation would be attracted from various professional disciplines and
segments of the society.

Recommendations were made by the Conference:
•a) National Research Center for National Eco-Security System Pakistan
•(NRC-NESS-Pak) will be established at AWKUM Mardan.
•b) IRAD AWKUM Conference papers will be shared with NESS for their
•international database.
•c) The next International NESS Conference will be held at AWKUM in cooperation
•with NESS-ISN Beijing.
•d) The Preparatory Committee NESS-Pak will hold National Workshops in
•coordination with HEC/PSF and other sponsors for issues identification and
•strategy development to respond to the issues

Meeting regarding 2024 International
Shenengjia Congress

The plan for future NESS initiatives in Pakistan
•To promote the establishment of the most extensive NESS Scientific
Community in Pakistan. It aims to facilitate interdisciplinary
collaboration and coordination in research and development of NESS
for the long-term survival of the people in Pakistan.
• The Preparatory Committee NESS-Pak will hold National Workshops
in coordination with HEC/PSF and other sponsors for issues
identification andstrategy development to respond to the issues
•The 2024 International NESS Conference will be held at AWKUM in
cooperation with NESS-ISN Beijing.

Implications of Pakistan’s experience for other
countries
•It will serves as a model to inspire other nations to create their own
NESS Scientific Communities.
•Share experiences on the formation of NESS Scientific Communities
with over 20 other nations, aiming for broad engagement of
universities and research institutes in each respective country.
