COVERED CONDCUTOR SYSTEM
2 COVERED CONDUCTOR Covered conductors consist of a conductor surrounded by a covering made of insulating material as protection against accidental contacts with other covered conductors and with grounded parts such as tree branches, etc.– As BS EN 50397-1: 2006.
CAUTION 3 Conductors must be handled with care Only accessories designed and approved for the conductor may be used Arc protection devices must be used on lines vulnerable to over voltages Substations must have tripping earth-fault protection devices and alarming secondary devices
INTERRUPTION FREE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
OCCUPY 40 % LESS SPACE THAN BARE LINES
6 INSULATING MATERIAL: XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)
CONDUCTOR MATERIAL COPPER ALUMINIUM ACSR 7
