Integrating continuous & manual Ambient Air Quality Stations with CPCB-reg&
Sir,
As you are aware, air quality is a matter of concern in many towns and cities. While
multidimensional initiatives under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) have been taken,
and National Air Quality Index launched for encouraging public awareness & involvement,
need is felt for strengthening existing air quality monitoring network and widening outreach.
In view of this, it is proposed that the Continuous and Manual Ambient Air Quality
Stations operating in the industries and townships may be connected to CPCB to augment
National monitoring network after due process of calibration and data validation. In this
regard, your personal intervention is solicited. A Nodal Officer from your organization may
alsoplease be nominated for follow-up.
