clouds. Click
on create.

Type in the
words you
want
researched

Repeat words
you want to
appear larger
in the word
cloud

Choose a site to use
for the research.
Tagulautomatically
uses google. I have
chosen Wordnik.
Or any online
dictionaries and
encyclopaedias
You could also
use Visuwords,
Eyeplorer,
lexipedia.

Type in a word
to search

Highlight the
URL before the
word you typed
in and copy

Highlight the
link before the
‘$’ and paste
the new URL

It should
appear like this
Keep as lower
case

Click on Fetch
tags

Select a shape
for your word
cloud

Select fonts, you
can choose more
than one.
Select angles for
the words to
appear or select
random and then
click on >>
Click on
‘build a cloud’

The word cloud
will be
generated

Click on preview

Your word
cloud will
appear. If you
are not happy
you can go
back and make
alterations.
I have noticed
that too many
are upside-
down

I have changed
the angles and
click on build
cloud again

Select Style
Options.
Select
colours for
text,
background
and rollover
colours

Click on
Preview.
If you are not
happy with the
colour
combination,
click on
refresh.

Here is a new
colour
combination

Move your
mouse over a
word and click

It should go
to Wordnikand
give
information on
the word you
selected

Click on
finalize, choose
the size of the
word cloud,
save and copy
the embed text

You can then
add your word
cloud to your
blog or
virtual
classroom.
