3. Nature of Creativity Approach of outputs of creative efforts : Creativity is the discovery of something novel but useful . Approach of Novel Hypothesis : Outcome of a creative effort must be significant and strick differently . Approach of Creative Process : Creativity is divergent thinking, seeking relationship between previously unrelated concepts . Approach of States of the being : Creativity is openness in expressing feelings, receptivity to ideas, concern for others. .
4. Constituents of Creative Abilities Fluency: Ability to come up with a number of solutions to a given problem . Flexibility : Ability to provide a large variety of solutions to respond to a problem from a variety of viewpoints . Originality: Ability to come up with unusual but appropriateness . Problem Sensitivity: Ability to notice unexplained,the unsatisfactory or the ability to sense the problem .
4.Constituents of Creative Abilities 5. Unravelling causes and effect : Ability to go to the roots of a phenomenon by unravelling its causes and visualize its consequences 6 . Elaborateness : Ability to elaborate on a theme. 7. Problem Restructuring : Ability to go behind the surface features of a problem and see what the real problem.
5. T ypes of Creativity Various authors suggested different types of creativity : Note Generally quality of creation determines the types of creativity . Abraham Maslow Ainsworth Land Primary Creativity :deals with spontaneous creations. Secondary Creativity : more deliberate and skilled as in the application of ideas and insight to invention . Elaborative Improvement Oriented Combination or Synthesis of superior quality Transformation
3. Iring Taylor: Note Generally, emergentive creativity is intrinsically not so much superior to expressive, technical, inventive or innovative creativity. . Author suggested following quality hierarchy: Spontaneous Creativity : similar to Maslow’s primary creativity Technical Creativity : involves striking improvement in a process Inventive Creativity : involves ingenuous new combination of materials or ingredients Innovative Creativity : involves far-reaching application of more basic ideas Emergentive Creativity : consist of new revolutionary principles for an art or sciences
