Life Experience vs. Experiential Learning
•Liberty University cannot award credit for life
experience.
•LU must award credit for “learning” that is
achieved from experience.
•This is what sets LU apart from unaccredited/
diploma mill schools.
•Liberty University follows the standards of
assessment recommended by the Council for
Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL)

What is experiential learning?
If your experiential learning can be documented
and if it is similar to what is learned in a
college-level course, we may be able to
award college -credits. This may include
learning that comes from:
•Professional experience
•Independent studies
•Certificate programs
•Job training

superior high school courses are just a few ways knowledge is
acquired that may be applied within CLEP testing.
