Introduction 1. Definition: Crime is a violence of criminal law which is implemented by some governmental authorities It is unlawful act punishable by the authorities. Punishments for the violation are also defined in law. Somethings are not legally a crime but they are morally w rong. So, they are referred as social crime.

2. Types: Some types of the crimes are : Victimless Crime Organized Crime White Collar Crime Professional Crime Cyber Crime

1 . Victimless Crime: A victimless crime is an illegal act that typically either directly involves only the perpetrator or it happens between the consenting adults Examples: Bribery Drug Trafficking\Dealing Islamic Abuse Official Documents Forgery Official Stamp Forgery Currency Forgery

2. Organized Crime: Transnational, national and local h ighly c entralized enterprises run by criminals who intend to engage in illegal activities . These Groups have a proper structure of posts and the distribution of work similar to any legal organization but the tasks involved here are illegal. Example : Terrorist Groups Drug Cartels and Gangs

3. White-Collar Crime: White-Collar crime refers to financially motivated non-violent crimes committed by government officials and businesses. Example: Corruption, Abuse of Power. 4. Professional Crime: Crime committed by a person whose primary source of money is crime. Example: Theft and burglary

5.Cyber Crime: Crimes committed online fall under this category. Example : Fraud, Hacking and Identity Theft.

Causes of Crime

Main Causes of the Crimes are: Poverty: Overpopulation Politics Promotion of Crime Passion Depression Drug and Alcohol Ineffective Legal System

1. Poverty : High level of inflation and unemployment causes an increase in theft and robbery crimes. Lack o f Education

2. Overpopulation: Overpopulation causes uneven distribution of resources available which motivates people to do crimes to get those resources.

3. Politics: Crimes are committed to achieve certain political agendas . 4. Promotion of Crime: Promotion of crime through different media motivates people to do crime just to feel the rush of it or support certain agenda.

5. Passion : Passion for someone or thing also causes a person to do violent crimes . 6. Depression : Depression or mental illness can alter the way of thinking and can lead a person to commit crime . 7. Drugs and Alcohol: Under the influence of drugs and alcohol, a lot of crimes are committed

Ineffective Legal System : Delays in decision making Lack of duties of investigators Corruption, bails and probation encourages the criminal to continue crime. Virtual World : Anonymity, back doors and hacking on the internet reduces the fear of getting caught .

Prevention

Proper practical education, vocational training centers and supports to initiate more industries will help to originate more job opportunities and reduce unemployment. Parents should guide their children and bring them up with good moral values. Strict rules and regulations will decrease the anti-social activities and mafias. Law enforcing agencies should be increased, empowered and their continuous patrolling will help to trim down crime rates. Strict hard Punishments oblige the offenders to think about the punishments before committing a crime. Awareness and educating the public will reduce the crimes.

Conclusion Crimes effect the peace, economy and tourism of a country. Though crime rates are increasing day by day but we can reduce it by implementing strong rules, parental guidance and moral education. THANK YOU
