Types of joints There are three types of woodworking joints: Widening joints Lengthening joints Angle or framing joints
Cross – halving joint
DEFINITION: The ‘ cross – halving joint ’ is a common wood working joint mainly used in framework constructions. These joints can be seen on the strengthening rails of tables and chairs.
Definition : They are also moderately difficult to construct as they consists of two channels that interlock and are bonded together with adhesives instead of simply just nailing or screwing them together.
