Welcome to The D’Azzo Research Library
The D’Azzo Research Library is located in Bldg 642 on Area B of WPAFB, Ohio.
Our collection consists of government documents, books, scholarly journals,
newspapers, audio visual, and much more.
We have over 1.3 million items to support your research requirements.

The D’Azzo Research Library Hours
Monday -Thursday 0730 –1800
Friday 0730 –1700
Weekends & Federal Holidays -Closed

Reference Desk
The reference desk is located on the first floor
across from the circulation desk. AFIT reference
librarians are available during the duty
hours of 0800–1800 Monday through Thursday;
0800-1700 Friday.

Copier Room
Copies are 10 cents. (Nickels and dimes
only accepted; library does not make
change). The room is also equipped with
a shredder, binder and other office tools
for student, staff and faculty use.

Computer Classroom
The library computer classroom, located
on the first floor, is comprised of twenty
workstations and is open from
0730 to 1700 Monday–Friday.

Seminar Rooms
Seminar rooms are available for small group
study (4-6 students) on the 2
nd
and 3
rd
floors of the library. These rooms do not
need to be reserved. First come, first
served. Whiteboards and markers available.

Conference Rooms
The second and third floors each have one
conference room that will accommodate larger
study groups. Computer access, phones, white
boards and markers
are available in each room.
Unlike Seminar Rooms, Conference Rooms
MUSTbe reserved. See reference desk to
inquire about availability.

Journals
The D’Azzo Research Library has a large selection of scholarly journals
available for your research.
AFIT subscribes to over 800 titles in print. Print journals must be used in the
library only, but we have copiers and scanners available for your use.
In addition, access to over 47,500 full-text electronic journal titles is provided
through the library’s Journal Search

Book Collection
Our book collection has been developed over the years
by the faculty, staff, and students of AFIT.
The library continually strives to keep our collection current
and relevant with the curriculum provided at AFIT.
We have over 130,000 books in the library and provide access to e-books.
The collection is organized according to the Library of Congress Classification.

Electronic Databases
The library provides access to 5,000
electronic databases. For easy access try
the Database Quick Links tab on the on
the library homepage or visit the
complete list of Research Databases

Wireless Library
Wireless access to the AFIT network is
available throughout The D’AzzoResearch
Library. Contact Computer
Support(SC)x4480 to have your laptop
configured (VPN) to utilize the library’s
wireless network. Commercial wireless
is available at Einstein's cafeteria
(Bldg 642 Room 116) on campus.

Interlibrary Loan Services
Use the library’s Interlibrary Loan service
(ILLIAD) to request materials that are
unavailable at The D’Azzo Research Library.
Sign up for an ILLIAD account today.
Course textbooks and most audiovisual
items are not available for loan. Length of loan
is determined by the lending library.
