1. DANCE POSITIONS Dance - is a form of creative expression through physical movement that includes rhythmic movements that accompany music. Historically, dance has been used in celebrations and religious observances. Dance has played an important role in human societies since ancient times and continues to evolve and develop today. Positions – refers to the placement of the two dancers to each other.

2. 1.CLOSED POSITION This is the normal hold where man and lady stand facing each other with their arms lifted together in the frames.

3. 2.PROMENADE POSITION It is a V-shaped dance position where both man and Lady move forward in the same direction.

4. 3.OPEN POSITION It refers to any dance position where the man and the lady stand apart or slightly apart, with one or two hands in contact.

5. 4.APART POSITION This is when the man and the lady have no body contact

6. RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE POSITION It is open position where the lady is to the right or the left of the gentleman.
