Summary of Palmitate synthesis 8 acetyl CoA + 7ATP + 14NADPH + 14H + Palmitate + 8CoA + 7ADP + 7Pi + 6H 2 O In palmitate , out of 16C only 2C comes from acetyl CoA and 14 are from malonyl CoA that in turn, is produced by acetyl CoA .
