TIPS OF DEBATE: Do I have proof to back up what I want to say? Gather enough evidence. Will my audience get what I’m trying to say? Organize thoughts clearly and logically. Do I sound confident? Use strong, convincing language. Will my main points stick with them? Repeat, rephrase key ideas. Do I sound monotonous? Vary your voice. Have I considered what the opposition will say? Prepare for the arguments (rebuttal). @ MADDY KALEEM
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF DEBATE The major advantage is that you get to hear both sides of an issue. The disadvantage is that sometimes they can get so heated that it deteriorates into an argument and there is no respectful listening to the opponent's side. @ MADDY KALEEM

helps hold the executive( usually top 20 people of winning party) to account, lets other parties have their say, also a way of swaying others towards your views. An advantage is the benefit or gain that the affirmative claims will result from adopting its plan, which must be known to outweigh the disadvantages. @ MADDY KALEEM
Disadvantages : some people can be offended when their point of view is challenged, they can quickly escalate into something fierce some people are ignorant of other people's interpretations/views and can upset others. Is it may lead to quarrel sometimes. @ MADDY KALEEM
Can create more conflict and also if the winning party has a large majority they would be much harder to hold to account. A disadvantage is an undesirable consequence that the negative claims will flow from the affirmative's plan. These must be known to outweigh the advantages. @ MADDY KALEEM
