Aetiology

Pathophysiology
Clinical Features
-Pain, redness, Swelling
-Oedema of limbs
-Skin warm to the touch
-Red discoloration

Partial occlusion of left popliteal vein
Occlusion of the left femoral vein

Treatment
Anticoagulants for 3-6months
-Unfractionated heparin
Vitamin K antagonist
-Direct factor Xa inhibitor (Rivaroxaban)

-Stage I: Asymp.
-Stage II: Intermittent claudication
-IIa: After walking more than 200m
-IIb: After walking less than 200m
-Stage III: Rest pain
-Stage IV: Ischemic ulcers/ gangrene
