8. Most nouns form their plural by adding -s- or -es- . Other nouns form their plural irregularly.

9. Here are the rules in forming the plural of nouns. 1. Most nouns form their plural by adding -s. Ex: Nation - nations How about the word school ? 9

10. 2. For nouns that ends in s, ss, ch and x simply add -es. Ex: Gas - gasses Glass- Glasses Beach - beaches Cross - crosses Wish - wishes How about the word Fox ? 10

11. 3 . For nouns that ends in y preceded by a consonant, change y to i and add -es . Ex: Pony - ponies How about the nouns sky ? 11
