We use demonstratives to indicate specific items in relation to ourselves . There are Demonstrative Pronouns and Demonstrative Adjectives Both use the same words and are used to identify or point out a partivular ítem o ítems ( people , animals , things places, etc.

Demonstrative Pronouns This , these , that , those Note that the verb changes (i.e. singular (is)/ plural (are)) depending on the pronoun that you use.

Examples: This is my car. (singular ) - These are my presents. (plural)

Demonstrative Adjectives This , these , that , those You can also use demonstratives before a noun. The Demonstrative Adjective needs to agree (= be the same form) as the noun. This pen is red these pens are blue Demonstrative noun verb adjective

Examples This party is boring. (singular ) That house is small. (singular) These chocolates are delicious. (plural) Those flowers are beautiful. (plural)
