CONTENT: Classifications of Vegetable Crops CONTENT STANDARDS: PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The learner demonstrates an understanding in growing seedlings. The learner independently grows seedlings in accordance with the standard procedures specified in the Vegetable Production Manual (VPM).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Cognitive: The learner identifies the different classifications of vegetable crops according to their methods of culture. Affective: The learner performs classifications of vegetable crops based on the methods of culture. Psychomotor: The learner appreciates the importance of vegetable crops in our daily life. LEARNING COMPETENCY: The learner classifies vegetable crops according to their methods of culture.

UNLOCKING OF DIFFICULTY: Root - the usually underground part of a seed plant body that originates usually from the hypocotyl, functions as an organ of absorption, aeration, and food storage or as a means of anchorage and support, and differs from a stem especially in lacking nodes, buds, and leaves. Fruit - the sweet and  fleshy  product of a tree or other plant that contains seed and can be  eaten  as food. Leaves - a  flattened  structure of a higher plant, typically green and blade-like, that is attached to a stem directly or via a stalk. Leaves are the main organs of  photosynthesis  and  transpiration .

ACTIVITY : PICTURE IDENTIFICATION Student will be group into 5. Each group must select their team leader and collaborator. Pictures of the different Vegetable Crops will be given to each group. They are going to classify these crops according to their methods of culture. Pictures will be pasted on a given sheet of manila paper. Their collaborative output will be posted on the board and will be delivered by their group representative. Performance task will be evaluated using the R UBRICS
