Introduction Outdoor environments are always packed with entertainment, exploration, and overall enjoyment for people. There are various places to travel to, flooding options of foods to try, etc. But whilst we are occupied in the chaos of the outside, where do we recharge ? Where do we stay within our comfort bubble and be ourselves without external interference? The answer is obviously our bedrooms.
Writing techniques used Metaphors: 1. where do we recharge? Since social interactions, staying out of the house, are exhausting, this text questions where do we eliminate the exhaustion? Like batteries which run out of energy need to recharge, humans do as well. 2. stay within our comfort bubble Comfort bubble implies our own personal comfort which is shared to none other than ourselves.
Our bedroom is a serene and pleasant space , created to provide comfort and relaxation. Everything in our bedroom has its place, that is what makes it a more neat and orderly environment. It also offers a sense of privacy and secrecy which allows us to do whatever we wish to do alone and just hide from reality and enjoy our own company. Pretty much everything we need can be found in our bedrooms. If we wish to read a book, there are several on the shelf; if we need food, surely there are some on the table; watching a movie can be done without a trip to the cinema hall; singing, dancing, writing, and drawing- all is possible within the interior of our bedrooms.
The expansive windows bring in an array of sunlight , which warmly illuminates the elegantly painted wall in a soothing pastel shade . A plush bed with plump cushions and a comfy mattress occupies a space in one of the corners of the room. A modern study table with a refined wooden base that is next to the bed invites me to focus on my work, paired with a desk lamp and a cozy chair . A spacious closet allows me to store clothes and other personal belongings across the bed. The floor is adorned with a luxurious, soft carpet that provides some warmth. Window with appealing curtains , broad, breathtaking views, and a chance to allow cool breezes in.
A bedroom holds sentimental value to its owner. In my case, the bed in my bedroom is not complete without my treasured blue woollen blanket ( which was knitted with love by my grandmother). When the lights are out I do not need to greet the starlit sky above my face since my bedroom ceiling is plastered with artificial luminous stars . The four walls serve as a canvas for the masterful doodles that are born from my sister’s colored pencils . A pile of books and comics invades my shelves, pending new notebooks to be filled with ink, stickers, and posters of my favorite band, and of course headphones always on the tabletop ready to play tunes reserved for my ears only. Last but not least, a large vanity table that has my reflection inside its mirror .
Writing Techniques Used Metaphors: 1. which was knitted with love The love and compassion of a family member is described here. The text shows that the blanket was made as a token of love and care. 2. my reflection inside its mirror Although mirror do not contain anything inside, this text comically points out that we can see our reflections always in front of a mirror. Personification : 1. to greet the starlit sky The sky is personified as a living person, to whom one can greet. . 2. that are born from my sister’s colored pencils The text proves that the sister uses colored pencils to doodle on the walls.
Conclusion Bedrooms are the fortress against the world for us . Where we eat and sleep peacefully without worry. A space where we are concealed from other people and are in the true bliss of being with none other than ourselves. Nobody is there to witness our actions, appearances, or agony. Our bedrooms contain objects that represent a little bit about our lives and personalities, hobbies, and habits. Like a bird and its nest, for humans, our bedrooms serve as nests where we love to spend time to ourselves all the time.
