Definition D escriptive text  is a text that describes people, animal, place or things T eks deskriptif   adalah   suatu teks yang menjelaskan atau mendeskripsikan orang orang , binatang , tempat , atau suatu benda baik bentuknya , sifat-sifatnya , jumlahnya dan lain-lain. Hanya fokus pada satu objek tersebut .

3. Purpose To describe someone or something particular U ntuk menjelaskan , menggambarkan , atau mengungkapkan seseorang atau suatu benda .

Generic Structure 1) Identification  ( identifikasi ) P endahuluan , berupa gambaran umum tentang suatu topik . 2) Description  ( deskripsi ) b erisi ciri-ciri khusus yang dimiliki benda , tempat , atau orang yang dideskripsikan . Misalnya sifat-sifat , tsmpilan fisik , dan hal lain yang dituliskan dengan spesifik .

5. Johnny Depp Johnny Depp is an actor, musician and also a producer (introduction). He was born on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, U.S. He started his career on movie in 1984. His first movie is A Nightmare on Elm Street. Before he became a famous actor, Depp was a musician. The first genre he played was rock music. He is good in playing guitar and writing songs. A long his life, he wrote so many songs for bands, solo vocalist and for Sweeney Todd movie (description).

6. My Room My room is my favorite place in my house (identification). My room is in second floor, next to my big sister’s room. My room is painted light grey. There is big bed inside my room where I sleep every day. I put some pictures on my desk. There are my family picture, my picture with my friends, and my pictures with my pet, Luna, a persian cat. I also have drawers where I put all my clothes inside. My room is not big, but it is the best place in my house for me (description).

7. My Lovely Persian Cat If you want to pet an animal, I suggest you to pet a Persian cat. Persian cats are the most beautiful cats, I think. And from all Persian cats, Georgy, is the cutest and the sweetest. Here is the description of my Persian cat, Georgy. Georgy is my beautiful Persian cat. Georgy has a large round head, a short nose, big eyes, full cheeks, and small ears with rounded tips. He has short legs and a short tail. He is so fat with a long, thick, shiny golden coat with a fine texture. He is so cute. He likes to sit beside me when I watch TV. He likes to enjoy TV commercials, especially cat food commercials. Playing a game on my tablet is another hobby of his. He likes to play Tetris on my gadget. He always pads it with his paws like he wants to win the game. Unfortunately, he never does. He is so sweet, isn’t he? I love Georgy so much. That is why I always take care of it. The most important thing to understand about caring for a Persian is the need for daily grooming. That long, beautiful coat doesn’t stay clean and tangle-free on its own. It must be gently but thoroughly combed and brushed every day, and regular bathing—at least once a month—is a good idea.
