THESIS TITLE DEVELOPING A TOOL ON EFFECTIVE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY: EXPLORATORY APPROACH

Background of the Study For the past decades, issues on the aspect of developing an effective school improvement plan and strategy tool in the Philippines has been a challenge among educators. An improvement plan and strategy are a proposal of activities arising from a previous process of unit diagnosis that gathers and formalizes the improvement objectives and accompanying actions targeted at strengthening the strong points and resolving the weak points in a prioritized and timely way (Dewey, J. 2013 ).

Gap of the Study But just a few efforts have been made to research and build a tool for successful management and strategy in educational institutions so far. A development tool used for school assessment and effective management has qualities that distinguish it from other tools and allow it to be utilized to improve school effectiveness. Some of these are very important for better school administration to handle the many parts of issues in the school and to deliver the best possible result (Guzman, 2021). The relevance of Learning tools and effective school strategy were enable students to develop effective self-directed learning skills. It also help to identify what they need to learn, find and use online resources, apply the information on the problem at hand, and even evaluate resultant feedback. This increases their efficiency and productivity. ,The developing tools for an effective school strategy help educators to evaluate students' knowledge and make informed decisions that improve their learning experience. Assessment tools help participants measure their progress towards specific outcomes and modify their behavior to meet those goals and school performance Based on the study's research gap, the following research challenges may be highlighted below . What are the themes that emerged from the interviews with participants regarding of developing tool on improvement school strategy? Social Relevance Social Relevance RESEARCH QUESTIONS

Another theory was School of Improvement Plan Theory . This theory is very essential in developing a certain tool for school improvement plan and strategy. A theory for improvement is a collection of interconnected ideas on how to improve some element of what happens in your school for your students. This improvement in learner performance is typically articulated as a goal. The purpose of building an improvement theory is to have everyone on the same page regarding the techniques you've chosen collectively will achieve your goal, as well as the thinking that behind those specific strategies . Research Design In this investigation, the exploratory mixed method testing research was employed. This method collects both qualitative and quantitative data sequentially, and the analyses are combined to produce a more robust and full interpretation than utilizing any one data source alone (Creswell, 2013). This approach is also used to cross-validate or corroborate results. As a result, it's frequently utilized to compensate for a defect in one system by leveraging the capabilities of another (Creswell,2013). THEORY

Research Locale This study will be conducted at schools in Columbio District I and II , Sultan Kudarat Division. Columbio ( Hiligaynon :   Banwa sang Columbio ;  Tagalog: Bayan ng Columbio ) is a 1st class  municipality  in the  province  of  Sultan Kudarat ,  in the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 33,527 people. It is politically subdivided into 16 barangays . Columbio is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Sultan Kudarat , it is bordered in the north by the municipality of T ulunan , on the west by Datu Paglas Maguindanao , on the south by the City of Koronadal , and on the east by Matanao Davao Del Sur. Teachers and Administrators from Columbio District I and II, Sultan Kudarat Division, will be chosen as respondents for this study. The sample method would be simple random sampling. There are several methods for obtaining a sample. We'll focus on random samples, which are ones in which the objects gathered are picked at random from the population. The sample elements are chosen in the same way as the winning ticket in some lotteries or a hand of cards is dealt in random sampling: the population elements are carefully blended before each draw to guarantee that each element has the same chance of being picked. It's considered to be a fair representation of a political party. Drawing a sample from a wider population is regarded as a logical strategy since every member of the population has an equal chance . RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS

Research Instrument To quantify the factors included in this study, the researcher will design an Interview Guide Questions (qualitative) that asks questions regarding teachers and administrators experiences in developing a tool in school improvement strategy. In the quantitative component, 300 sets of survey questionnaires will be utilized to collect data from participants. Experts examine the instruments' material validity before putting them through pilot testing to assure their efficacy . The parts of the questionnaire are chosen by the frequency of occurrence as established by focus group discussions. When the technique is established from a qualitative approach, the viewpoints on the application of pandemic restrictions will be exposed. Dimension reduction would be applied to this instrument in order to identify the factors that comprise the student's thoughts on pandemic restrictions . Experts are also requested to assess the material validity of the interview questions as well as the acceptability of the items used to capture the perspectives during the epidemic limitations. This is done to ensure that the questionnaire is easy to read and understand.

Data Gathering Procedure To gather the data for this study, the researcher would send a letter to the supervisor of COLUMBIO District 1 &2 . The Dean of the Graduate School of Central Mindanao Colleges will be the first to get the same message. The researcher would then submit the authorized letter to the school principal/head of school for information and reference . To get the information for this study, the researcher will send a letter to the district supervisor Columbio Districts. The Dean of Central Mindanao Colleges' Graduate School will initially address the same message. After that, the researcher would send the signed letter to the school principal/head of school for information and comparison . Data Analysis/ Statistical Treatment the researcher examines the two datasets independently and builds quantitative measurements based on the observations from the exploratory database. This requires the researcher to pay close attention to the qualitative data analysis measures and decide which conclusions to draw on. In the second quantitative step, a qualitative case analysis will produce various cases that become the emphasis on important variables . Social Value . The study will be able to present valuable information that will guide mentors of would be leaders in educational institutions. With the findings of the study, they will become aware of the need of conducting faculty development to improve the work productivity of teachers. Informed consent . The researcher requested the interviewee/participant's permission through written consent. Ethical Consideration
