The Meaning of Poetry : - “ Poetry of the highest kind may exist without metre and even without the contradistinguishing objects of a poem”

The Meaning of poem : - “poem is a literary term, written in verse, with rhyme , metre and musicality which delights us” The poem of any length neither can be , nor ought to be, all poetry.

Different between.. Poem Poetry Different than prose Gives pleasure It is merely a form of verbal expression of poet’s mind . Smaller is poem Piece of poetry / written piece of Fundamental unit of poetry It is used in the sense of an individual piece of work It could be a Part of Prose Gives an aesthetic delight It is an activity of poet’s mind Longer is poetry Something higher than poem Literary art/form Is made of poems Collected work
