Countable Nouns are the
names of the object,
people, etc. that we can
count, e.g. book, pen apple,
boy, sister, dog, horse, etc..
They are easy to recognize.
Uncountable Nouns are
the substances,
concepts that we can
divide into separate
elements. We cannot
‘Count’ them.

SINGULAR & PLURAL FORM
Countable nouns can be
singular or plural.
My dog is playing.
my dogs are playing.
I have got one egg.
I ahve got two eggs.
We usually treat uncountable
noun as singular. We use
singular verbs. For example-

USAGE OF ARTICLES
We use indefinite articles.
Ex-
A dog is an animal.
I am waiting for a bus.
We don’t use indefinite
articles with uncountable
nouns. We can’t say “an
information” or “a rice”.
Instead we say-
when they are singular,
we use a/the/my/this. Ex-
I want an orange.
Where is my bottle??
