FAT (FAT16 and FAT32) andNTFS are two methods for storing data on a hard drive. The hard drive has toeither be
formatted using one or the other, or can be converted from one to theother (usually FAT to NTFS) using a system tool
NTFS is a high-performanceand self-healing file system proprietary to Windows XP 2000 NT, which supportsfile-level
security, compression and auditing. It also supports large volumesand powerful storage solution such as RAID.
The most important newfeature of NTFS is the ability toencryptfiles and folders to protect your sensitive data

Redundant Array of IndependantDisksRAID refers to a hard disk technology which can be used tospeed up data transfer
and/or provide disk redundancy through disk system faulttolerance.
RAID provides these features by utilising more than one harddisk at a time, there are several variations of a RAID
configuration referred toas levels.
Each of these levels provide different performance and/orfault tolerance benefits.
RAID configurations are commonly found in datacritical applications.

RAID means Redundant ArrayOf Independent Disk. This is a technique in which we can concatenate more thanone disk
together in a number of ways that can give us many types of storageoptions. We can also decide which type of storage
feature is desired by choosingbetween the raid level. There are many Types of Raid levels
1)LinearRaid-Disks are appended linearly. If the space in the first disk get overthan the data is written in the second disk
2)Raid 0(Striping)-In thistype of raid the a file to be stored is broken down into chunks and each chunkis Placed over
independent disk. This type of raids provides parallelism. i.e.Fast Read and write operations are performed. But the
availabilty of each fileis dependent on all the disk. If any one of the disk gets crashed or curruptedthan the entire data is
Lost

All Windows OS support bothFAT32 and NTFS. But the main difference is NTFS providesecurity, FAT32 dosen't.
The main features of NTFS is
Encryption,CompressionandDisquata
Also using NTFS we can provide accesspremission of the  file for a particular user.
eg: we can set Fullcontrol, Read,Write,Modified and Dained permission for a particular file.

You said that FAT32 does not provide the file level securitythat an NTFS drive would give to its files, to ensure their
security. And our OSinstallations are mostly done in the drive which is a FAT32 type drive and it isquite known that these
files of the OS are VERY important and that anything doneto these files can result in something bad. So inspite of this
limitation why dopeople generally install the OS in a FAT32 drive?

This technology used by hard disk which store mirrorimage of your current hard disk who is running, because in server
sevral taskperfoms simultansly if your hard disk fails or crash then what about your datait losses. so for preventing of loss
of data we use RAID external hard diskwhich have SCSI (Small Computer System Interface)and add with servers it will be
1,2,3,4,5 or RAID 6. means always it takes backup of your hard disk and when itcrash or fail the raid hard disk support
your system with full data who was youron dead hard disk and result is your system nevers godown

FAT32 is the 32 bit version of FAT. It support smaller clustersize and larger volumes [upto 2 TB] than FAT.
NTFS is an advanced file systemthat provides performance, security and reliabilty.
These features are notfound in any versions of FAT. In NTFS 5.0 one single partition can support 32 EB[1024 TB=1EB]

RAID stands for REDUNDANT ARRAY ofINDEPENDENT DRIVES. Under the raid system a group of hard drives are
addressedas one storage unit. The data is redundantly (backup copies) stored in such away that it is possible to recover all
of the data even with the total failureof as many as two of the drives in the RAID. RAIDs are used where extremelylarge
amounts of storage capacity and high reliability is required. Today mostpre-recorded television programs are recorded and
played back from RAID fileservers.
