Conceptualization of CT disposition CT disposition is "a consistent internal motivation to engage with problems and make decisions using CT" ( Facione et al., 2000, p. 65) A disposition is a person's consistent internal motivation to act in response to people, events, or circumstances in a habitual but potentially formable way ( Facione , 2000). Critical thinking disposition is an attitude that can be developed, although its development may take longer than the development of critical thinking skills (Bell & Loon, 2015).
Characteristics of CT disposition Characteristics of critical thinking disposition are divided into two categories: (1) characteristics related to life in general and (2) characteristics related to specific problems, questions, and issues ( Facione , 1990, 2011 Furthermore, several experts such as Ozkarahman (2012), Kokdemir (in Emir, 2013), and Noone and Scery (2018) believe that critical thinking disposition consists of 7 components: truth-seeking, open-mindedness, analyticity, systematicity , CT self-confidence, inquisitiveness, and maturity of judgment.
Conclusion The results of this study provide an overview of the main themes related to critical thinking disposition, namely Analyticity, Inquisitiveness, Systematicity , Open-mindedness, Truth-seeking, Confident in Reasoning , and Judicius .
