The Role of the Head of District Administration The District Collector or District Magistrate, commonly known as the Head of District Administration, plays a crucial role in the District Administration system. • Maintaining law and order in the district • Monitoring the implementation of policies and programs in the district • Serving as the main point of contact during emergencies or disasters • Handling public grievances and ensuring timely resolution • Supervising revenue collection and fiscal affairs of the district
