I. OBJECTIVES
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using
Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrates an understanding of the
 Culture and society as anthropological and sociological concept
 Perspectives in/approaches to the study of culture and society (i.e., comparative, historical, structural/functional, interpretive,
critical)
1. Performance Standards The learners:
 Appreciate the nature of culture and society from the perspectives of anthropology and sociology
 Demonstrate a holistic understanding of culture and society
 Values cultural heritage and express pride of place without being ethnocentric

II. CONTENT
Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach in the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.

IV. PROCEDURES
These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways
to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning process and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

A. Reviewing previous lesson or
presenting the new lesson
4 Pics 1 Word
Learners shall be grouped into 4 (four). 4 pictures will be given to
learners to guess the word. The words that are needed to be
guessed by the students are the following which are related to the
topic and the activity. The teacher can choose any of the words
given below: The activity will run for about 10-15 minutes.

The teacher shall show learners different words through flash cards
and they will be tasked to share and describe their culture about the
given word.

B. Establishing a purpose for the
lesson
Vision Board
Learners shall create a vision board composed of drawings or
images coming from newspapers. They shall be able to represent in
their work the aspect of the Filipino Society and Culture following
also the given guiding questions above. Learners shall be grouped
into four (4) and they shall be given 15 minutes to finish the activity.
Reflective Sharing
Learners shall be grouped into 4 (four). They shall discuss within the
group their thoughts / description about society and culture as a
whole (which includes knowledge, belief, art, morals, law, customs
etc.). Ideas shall be written in a manila paper. 15 minutes shall be
given to each group to accomplish the task.
C. Presenting examples/ instances
of the new lesson
Each group shall present their ideas and works. They shall be given
two (2) minutes to present their work.
A group presenter will explain the work of each group. Two (2)
minutes will be allotted for each presentation.

Describe society and culture as a whole taking into account people’s
beliefs, arts, laws, morals, customs etc.
