1. TOOLS AND MATERIALS USED IN DRAWING

2. A beginner will need only a few instruments to use in drawing . He can acquire sophisticated ones as he needs them.

3. DRAWING TABLE AND STOOL This is a special table with adjustable top that can be tilted to the desired angle. It can be fitted with a drawing board .

4. A drawing board is generally made of soft pine wood where drawing paper can be attached. A revolving stool is used for easy and comfortable movement.

5. T-SQUARE The T-square is used as a guide in drawing parallel horizontal lines.

6. TRIANGLES These are used in drawing vertical or inclined lines .

7. SCALE AND RULER A ruler is used for measuring size and distance in the drawing.

8. SET OF DRAWING MATERIALS Ruling pen – This is used for inking varying thickness Compass – used to draw large arcs and circles with pencil or pen

9. c. Protractor – This tool is used to measure or lay out an angle or an arc. The bigger the size of the protractor, the more accurate the angle or an arc can be drawn.

10. d. French Curve – used as a guide in mechanically drawing irregular lines.

11. Other tools such as drawing pencil. Drawing pens, technical pens, tracing paper, Manila paper, and speed ball are used in drawing.
