Our favorite possessions
SPEAKING
We have a black-and-white cat named Mr.
Penny. We found him on the street. He’s
been a part of our family since I was 12.
How old is he?
We’ve had him for about five years,
but I think he’s seven years old.

Read Mark’s and Tina’s to-do lists. What have they already done? What haven’t
they done yet?
GRAMMAR
Mark has already set up his new phone.
Tina has, too. Both Mark and Tina have
already set up their new phones.
To-do lists

Student A: Tell your partner about two items you have,
but don’t name them!
Student B: Guess your partner’s items.
Then switch!
Guess the technology!
SPEAKING
I’ve had it for a month. I bought the newest model, and it
works really well. I’ve already used it several times. I
used it to set up my new bookcase last weekend. I
haven’t let anyone borrow it yet.
Hmm. It sounds like a tool. Is it
an electric screwdriver?

PROGRESS CHECK
Now I can…
 talk about things I’ve had for a while.

Thank you!
