structures which are
both strong and can
be quickly built.
•Natural building
technique.
• eco-friendly style
•Low cost

MATERIALS

with inorganic
material usually
available on site.

with sand fills are an
alternative technology
and require very
different construction
details.

or straight, domed
with earth or topped
with conventional

covering.
• Do not catch fire easily.
•They are strong and can protect the
residents from rain, high winds, and the
sun.

•Earthbag homes actually cut the heat and
humidity
• This is what makes these homes cool in
the summers and warm in the winters.
This is what gives the earthbag homes a
stable and firm structure and helps it
withstand natural calamities better.
8

FINISHING

the bags from UV rays
or moisture, it is
necessary to cover the
exposed outer
surfaces of the bags

including cement-
based stucco, or lime
or earthen plaster,mix
of sand and clay.
9

FACTS
