Brahmaputra river The Brahmaputra is one of the major rivers of Asia, a trans-boundary river which flows through China, India and Bangladesh.  Length :   2,900 km Source :   Himalayas Basin size :   712,035 km 2  (274,918 sq mi) Tributaries :   Teesta River ,  Lohit River ,  DibangRiver ,  MORE Bridges :   Bogibeel Bridge ,  Bhupen Hazarika Setu ,  Kolia Bhomora Setu ,  Naranarayan Setu Origin: Kailash range (Tibet) Area : 194,413 Sq.km. Barak river The Barak is a 900 km long river flowing through the states of Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Assam in India and into the Bay of Bengal via Bangladesh. Of the 900 km, 524 km is in India, 31 km on Indo – Bangladesh border and the rest is in Bangladesh . Teesta river Teesta River is a 315 km long river that rises in the eastern Himalayas, flows through the Indian states of West Bengal and Sikkim through Bangladesh and enters the Bay of Bengal. It drains an area of 12,540 km². Kameng river The  Kameng River  (previously named Bhareli River , now called Kameng in  Arunachal Pradesh  and Jia Bhoreli in  Assam ) in the eastern  Himalayan mountains , originates in  Tawang district  from the  glacial lake  below snow-capped  Gori Chen  mountain  27°48′36″N 92°26′38″E , [1]  elevation 6,300 metres (20,669 ft ),  on the  India-Tibet border  in South  Tibet  and flows through  Bhalukpong circle of  West Kameng District , Arunachal Pradesh and  Sonitpur District  of Assam,  India . It is one of the major tributaries of the  Brahmaputra River , joining it at  Tezpur , just east of the  Kolia Bhomora Setu   bridge.

(4,573 Sq. mi) large Country : India Did You Know : The Kameng forms the boundary between  East Kamemg District  and  West Kameng Districts  and is also the boundary between the  Sessa and Eaglenest sanctuaries  to its west and the  Pakke tiger reserve  to the east.

LOHIT RIVER The Lohit River or Zayü River is a river in India and China. It is a tributary to the Brahmaputra River. The river rises in Tibet Autonomous Region, in the Kangri Garpo range, where it is known as the Zayü River . Length :   450 km Source :   Tibet Mouth :   Brahmaputra River Country :   India Bridges :   Bhupen Hazarika Setu Area : The catchment  area  of  river Lohit  including Tibet region  is 29,487 sq km. The catchment  area  in Tibet has been estimated as about 15,034 sq km.”

Sankosh river Sankosh is a river that rises in northern Bhutan and empties into the Brahmaputra in the state of Assam in India. In Bhutan, it is known as the Puna Tsang Chu below the confluences of several tributaries near the town of Wangdue Phodrang .  Length :   320 km Mouth :   Brahmaputra River Country :   India Area : The total  catchment  of the  river Sankosh excluding Raidak   river catchment  is 12061 sq.km . Dhansiri river Dhansiri is the main river of Golaghat District of Assam and the Dimapur District of Nagaland. It originates from Laisang peak of Nagaland. It flows through a distance of 352 kilometres from south to north before joining the Brahmaputra on its south bank. Its total catchment area is 1,220 square kilometres.  Length :   352  km Originates From :   Laisang peak of Nagaland. Country :   India Location :   Assam ,  Nagaland ,  North-eastern India Area : 1,220 square kilometres (470 sq mi).  Did You Know :    It has several types of important woods bearing trees along its bank like Intanki Forest.

Dibang river Dibang River, also known as Sikang in Adi and Talon in Idu , is a tributary river of the Brahmaputra that originates and flows through the Mishmi Hills & northeast India from the state of Arunachal Pradesh . Length :   195  km (121 mi) Originates From : Mishmi Hills Tributaries : The Sisar , Mathun , Tangon , Dri , Ithun and Emra are the major tributaries of the Dibang .

Surma river The Surma River is a major river in Bangladesh, part of the Surma-Meghna River System. Gumati river Gumti , Gomti , Gumati or Gomati is a river flowing through the north-eastern Indian state of Tripura and Bangladesh. Kopili River is an interstate river in Northeast India that flows through the states of Meghalaya and Assam and is the largest south bank tributary of the Brahmaputra in Assam.  Length :   290  km Mouth :   Brahmaputra River Country :   India Area : 16,420 Sq. km. Dihing river Dihing or Burhi Dihing is a large tributary, about 380 kilometres long, of the Brahmaputra River in Upper Assam in northeastern India .  Length :   380 km Mouth :   Brahmaputra River Source :   Patkai Basin Size :   6,000 km 2  (2,300 sq mi) Country :   India Originates From :   Eastern  Himalayas ( Patkai Mountain Range) in Arunachal Pradesh and flows through the district of Tinsukia and Dibrugarh of upper Assam to its confluence with the Brahmaputra at Dihingmukh .

Rangeet river The Rangeet or Rangit is a tributary of the Teesta river, which is the largest river in the Indian state of Sikkim. The Rangeet river originates in the Himalayan mountains in West Sikkim district. The river also forms the boundary between Sikkim and Darjeeling district . Manas river The Manas River is a transboundary river in the Himalayan foothills between southern Bhutan and India. It is named after Manasa , the serpent god in Hindu mythology.  Length :   376 km Source :   Himalayas Mouth :   Brahmaputra River Countries :   India ,  Bhutan Tributaries : Some of the important  tributaries  of the  Manas River from  east  to west are the Tawang   River  (Arunachal Himalaya, India), Kuri Chu and Mangde Chu (Tibet and Bhutan Himalaya), the Chalkhowa , Beki and Ai (Assam, India).

Bhogdoi river The Bhogdoi River is a tributary of the Brahmaputra in India. From its origin in the Naga hills it flows through the City of Jorhat and then it merges with another river and its name becomes Gelabill . The previous name of the river was Desoi . The Bhoghdoi river has become heavily polluted over the years.  Length : 162.5 km. Mouth :   Brahmaputra River Country :   India

Beki river Beki River is one of the right bank tributaries of the mighty Brahmaputra River, which flows down from the Bhutan region but a large portion flows in Indian state Assam.  Length :  376 kilometres (234 mi) Country :   India Soil Erosion : The soil erosion of Beki river has become a major problem of flowing two districts Barpeta and Baksa of Assam . Did You Know : Beki River, also known as Kurissu River in Bhutan, lies between 26° 20' 00" N; 90° 56' 00" E which comes from Himalayan glacier.

Tuivai river The Tuivai River is a river in India, a tributary of the Barak River, into which it flows at Tipaimukh . It forms part of the boundary between India and Myanmar and part of the boundary between the Indian states of Manipur and Mizoram.  Location : Tipaimukh Coordinates : 24°14′07″N 93°01′23″E Country :   India

Feni river Feni River is a river in the Indian state of Tripura and southeastern Bangladesh. It is a trans-boundary river with an ongoing dispute about water rights. The Feni River originates in South Tripura district and flows through Sabroom town and then enters Bangladesh . Myntdu river Myntdu River is one of the major water bodies in Jaintia Hills District, Meghalaya, locally known as ' ka Tawiar ka Takan ' in the Pnar dialect. It is a blessing to the residents of the town of Jowai and adjacent places. Its abundant water is used to irrigate the Myntdu Valley, located on the outskirts of Jowai town . Kolong river The  Kolong River  or Kailang is a tributary of the Brahmaputra  River , which diverts out from the Brahamputra   river  in Hatimura region of Jakhalabandha ( Nagaon district, Assam, India), and meets the same at Kolongpar near Guwahati . Length : 212 km. Origin : Hatimura Tributaries : The main contributors were, Misa   river , Diju   river  and Nagaon town. Two  tributaries  of  Kolong , Haria and Gerua   rivers  helped reduce contamination. Country : Assam (India)

Manipur river The Imphal   River  or  Manipur River  is the main  river  of the basin and it rises near Kangpokpi in Senapati district of  Manipur  and receives the Iril   River  from the south and the Thoubal   River from the east. Manu river, tripura The Manu River rises in the mountains of Tripura. After its initial rapid passage through mountainous terrain it slows and meanders during its course, which includes the Sylhet plains. It joins the Kushiyara River at Manumukh in the Bangladeshi district of Moulvibazar .  Length :   167 km Mouth :   Kushiyara River Country :   Bangladesh
