INTRODUCTION
•The Ebro river is the largest river in Spain and the
second in the Iberian peninsula after the Tagus.
•The Ebro crosses seven Spanish regions: Cantabria,
Castilla y León, La Rioja, País Vasco, Navarra, Aragón
and Cataluña.

COURSE
•The Ebro rises in Fontibre, at 880 metres.
•And it ends in the Mediterranean Sea, with a delta.
EBRO BASIN
•In the Ebro basin around 2.767.100 people live.
•The nucleus is Zaragoza, with 674.300 inhabitants.
WATER USES
•It has an industrial use, because of the hydroelectric
plants.
•It also has an agricultural use.
FLORA
•The Ebro delta is the largest wetland in Spain.
•There are many types of plants, but the most common
are the poplars and reeds.
FAUNA
•The most common animals are the water snakes, the
trouts, the ducks and the weasels.
