Contexts may be economic, social, cultural, historical, literary, biographical, etc. As a reader, why do you have to make sense of the context of a literary work? How is each literary work representative of the region where the writer is from and of the nation.
Biographical Context places a particular literary work within the context of the author’s life. Consider the circumstances under which the literary work was written. While exploring biographical context, useful sources include biographics of the author, autobiographies or memoirs by the author or by people who knew him or her, and critical works that give close attention to the author’s life.
