Plot diagram Exposition : Characters - Belle, Gaston, Beast Setting - French town, Beasts Castle Opening conflict - A young boy turns away a raggedy old woman and ends up getting cursed. Belle is a quirky girl in a French village. Rising Action : Belle sacrifices her freedom to save her father's life. When staying with the beast she realizes he isn't so bad. Gaston learns of Belles capture and wants to fight the beast. Climax : Gaston and his mob break into the castle and begin to fight the beast. Falling Action : Gaston falls to his death and Belle's tears revive the beast. Resolution : The beast and his friends turn back into humans, and they live happily ever after.
Bulgaria: Hitar Petar and His Shadow

Plot Diagram Exposition: Characters- Hitar Petar, store vendor Setting- Soup Stand Opening Conflict- Hitar Petar has no money to pay with Rising Action: Hitar Petar took a piece of bread out of his pocket and held it in the steam coming out of the soup pot and then Hitar Petar ate it. The vendor asked Hitar Petar to pay for the food. Climax: Hitar Refuses to pay for something he didn't eat. The vendor says that he will have to be beaten. Falling Action: Hitar Petar says that it is right to be beaten, but since he only used the steam, the vendor could only beat his shadow. Resolution: The market people laugh at the vendor's greed and applaud Hitar's intelligence.
