Factual Knowledge: Many appliances use electricity and must be plugged into a socket for electricity to pass through the circuit. Some appliances may need batteries to power them. Appliances can use electricity to generate heat (e.g., cooker hobs) or to cool things down (e.g., fridges, freezers). Electricity can be extremely dangerous. Liquids and wet hands should be kept away from electrical appliances and circuits.
