Elements What's an element? An element is a substance which cannot be split into two or more simpler substances by chemical means.

.Aluminium (Al) Melting point (M.P) :660.37c Boiling point (B.P) :2467.0c Physical properties: solid ( A silver white metal.) Chemical properties: very reactive metal.

.Barium (Ba) Melting point (M.P) : 727c Boiling point (B.P) : 1845c Physical properties: Solid (silvery gray metal) Chemical properties: very high chemical reativity .

.Calcium (Ca) Melting point (M.P) : 842c Boiling point (B.P) : 1484c Physical properties : solid (dull gray, silver) Chemical properties: most abundant metal by mass in many animals.

.Gold (Au) Melting point (M.P) : 1,064 °C Boiling point (B.P) : 2,970 °C Physical properties : It is a bright yellow dense, soft, malleable and ductile metal . Chemical properties ; Gold is the most malleable of all metals

.Helium (He) Melting point (M.P) : -272.2 °C Boiling point (B.P) : -268.9 °C Physical properties: It is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, inert , monatomic gas Chemical properties ; helium will remain liquid down to absolute zero at normal pressures

.Iodine (I) Melting point (M.P) : 113.7 °C Boiling point (B.P) : 184.3 °C Physical properties: violet or purple, due to the color of elemental iodine vapor Chemical properties ; is less reactive than the other members of its group, the halogens , and has some metallic light reflectance .

.Magnesium (Mg) Melting point (M.P) : 1,091 °C Boiling point (B.P) : 650 °C Physical properties: Elemental magnesium is a rather strong, silvery-white, light-weight metal Chemical properties ; Magnesium is a highly flammable metal

.Neon (Ne) Melting point (M.P) : -248.6 °C Boiling point (B.P) : -246.1 °C Physical properties: It glows reddish-orange in a vacuum discharge tube Chemical properties ; Neon is the second-lightest noble gas

.Oxygen (O) Melting point (M.P) : -218.8 °C Boiling point (B.P) : -183 °C Physical properties: At standard temperature and pressure , oxygen is a colorless, odorless gas Chemical properties ; a highly reactive nonmetallic element and oxidizing agent

.Phosphorus (P) Melting point (M.P) : 44.2 °C Boiling point (B.P) : 280.5 °C Physical properties: colourless , waxy white, yellow, scarlet, red, violet, black Chemical properties ; a conductor of electricity, and has puckered sheets of linked atoms
